Sonia and the Gypsies was born out of a dream of creating and designing. Founded by Aga Zapalska, the brand is a deeply personal project that has been maturing for years. The story begins with a quilted pink jacket in a delicate floral pattern, sewn in a small local workshop in collaboration with trusted artisans. To this day, floral prints remain our signature, shaping the aesthetic of the modern romantic. Each drop is a story about clothes and accessories that captivate us — pieces we ourselves long to wear.

At Sonia, we focus on creating small collections, unique one-of-a-kind pieces we’ve always dreamed of. Years of gathered inspirations and personal experiences, childhood memories, countless hours spent in the sewing room and in Sonia — the boutique on Warsaw’s Mokotów run by our mother Joanna — all of this makes up Sonia and the Gypsies. It is also a blend of nostalgia and future, tradition and courage, and that fleeting kind of magic you can only feel in things made with heart.
